Salary:

Tier 1 Youth Care Worker (Entry Level)

Location: Youth Crisis Center Casper, WY
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 36 hours per week (3 x 12-hour shifts)
Non-Exempt

Position Summary

The Youth Care Worker provides direct supervision, daily support, and positive engagement for youth in our residential program. This entry-level role focuses on maintaining a safe, structured, and nurturing environment while building healthy, professional relationships with young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support youth with daily routines (meals, hygiene, school support, bedtime)
    Provide active supervision and ensure safety at all times
    Build positive relationships using trauma-informed practices
    Encourage participation in educational and recreational activities
    Follow safety plans and use non-physical de-escalation techniques
    Complete daily logs, shift reports, and required documentation
    Maintain a clean, organized, and structured living environment


Qualifications

Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to work 12-hour shifts
Willingness to complete mandatory training
Must meet child protection, background, and screening requirements

Preferred:
Experience working with youth or in human services
