Franklin & Marshall College is recruiting for a part-time ASFC Front Desk Monitor.
Job Details:
  • Location: F&M Campus - Lancaster, PA
  • Classification: Part-time, Non-Exempt
  • Schedule: To be determined by the supervisor
  • Reports to: Aquatics & Recreation Director
  • Department: Athletics & Recreation
  • Approved Hourly Rate: $12.02/hour
Job Description:
The ASFC Monitor assists patrons of the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center with the check-in process. This position assures only authorized patrons use the facilities and provides excellent customer service. This position also supervises student workers.
Essential Functions:
  • Provide entry-point security for the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center by checking patrons' IDs to ensure they can use the facilities.
  • Maintain patron counts, answer phones, and reserve tennis courts for patrons. Issue and collect equipment. Assist with event preparations as needed.
  • Open and close the ASFC as required. Promote and enforce College policies regarding safety, security of the people and property in the ASFC. Summon security or emergency medical personnel as needed.
  • Schedule and supervise student workers to assure proper completion of job duties. Monitor work performance and prepare student time sheets.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Entry level position; no experience required.
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite Products (Docs, Gmail, Sheets, Slides, Drive).
  • Evidence of a commitment to community & belonging.
  • Successful interview.
  • Successful completion of background checks.
