Who We Are:

The company is Consulting a management consulting firm, founded to offer clients a more engaged and hands- on experience. Our partner-led, team-based approach allows us to advise clients on their most challenging business issues such as how to enter new markets, analyze their current competitive and portfolio positions, defend share, and reorganize more profitably. Our solutions are backed by market data and practical, achievable recommendations. We support clients across a broad set of markets in industry sectors such as industrials, aerospace, healthcare , technology, and consumer.

Role Overview:

Business development associates work closely with our leadership team – managers, principals, partners, and senior partners focused on specific industry verticals - to advance the practice and client strategy. Specifically, associates conduct out-reach to potential new clients and support and/or facilitate communication with current clients. Each associate is assigned a set of clients across practice verticals.

As an associate, you will have the opportunity to utilize and sharpen a mix of skill sets. You will strengthen your communication (both verbal and written), organization, and teamwork skills as you work alongside other associates and the leadership team. In addition, you will gain industry experience and knowledge of the target companies with which you engage. As you work towards reaching your weekly targets and goals, your understanding of the dynamics and challenges of your target companies will deepen.

Key Responsibilities:

• Account ownership and market awareness

o Learn and understand client organizational structures, identify gaps and opportunities in BCE's relationships, and maintain a clear view of key stakeholders.

o Proactively monitor relevant new hires, departures, and other key role changes; follow senior leaders and use their public updates to identify prospective clients.

o Track relevant company news, including earnings and other developments, and assess the implications for BCE's work and client opportunities.

o Develop a comprehensive understanding of account performance against goals, including projects, proposals, leads, and next actions.

o Help the account team prepare for outreach, meetings, and client calls.

• Meeting scheduling

o Execute against introduction and client touch-base targets, organizing weekly activity efficiently to meet goals.

o When targets are at risk, work with the team to understand barriers, adjust the approach, and improve results.

o As proficiency grows, exceed scheduling targets; learn how BCE positions its services with clients; and manage relationships through engaging, personalized touch bases.

• Project and follow-up management

o Track call and proposal actions, manage or take ownership of follow-ups, and provide timely reminders to senior team members.

o Coordinate with the principal, partner, or engagement manager to ensure the account team completes appropriate follow-ups.

• Hubspot Champion

o Lists & Data

▪ Pull, clean, and upload contact lists (e.g., ZoomInfo exports)

▪ Ensure list hygiene (required fields, deduplication, formatting)

▪ Create and manage static lists for sequences and marketing emails

o Sequences

▪ Build and launch sequences using the Sequencing SOP (v1)

▪ Customize messaging within approved templates

▪ Enroll contacts and monitor performance

▪ Unenroll contacts who reply or convert

▪ Flag performance or data quality issues to Marketing

o Content & Campaign Setup

▪ Set up LinkedIn graphics using approved templates

▪ Draft marketing emails using approved templates

▪ Upload approved assets into HubSpot

▪ Associate all activity to the correct campaign

▪ Prepare all items for Marketing review and approval

Qualifications:

The company's BD associates can come from various walks of life – as an entry-level position for new college graduates interested in sales or as a mid-career change from another professional or business career.

We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated a goal-driven, competitive attitude, and who are seeking a sales-based challenge.

Below are some requirements and preferences we have when reviewing BD associate resumes:

• College degree

• Demonstration of competitiveness and interests above and beyond academics. Examples would include music, arts, and individual and team sports.

• Previous sales experience

Work Authorization:

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Location: Boston, MA

Hours: 8:00-6:00pm

Employee Value Proposition:

From day one at BCE, you’ll own meaningful work and gain direct exposure to clients and firm leadership. You’ll be surrounded by smart, supportive colleagues who are as caring as they are driven. We’ll invest in you with a competitive compensation package, which includes a 401k match, profit sharing, full health coverage, and unlimited PTO.

The work is demanding, but the payoff is accelerated growth, shared success, and a skillset that will benefit you far beyond the company.
