Job description

Note: This position is based in our Alexandria, Virginia office and follows a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days remote each week.
Position Overview:
As an integral part of Questel's Inside Sales Team, this role is responsible for prospecting, qualifying and processing leads for the sales team; as well as generating summarized reports of key findings.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Build and cultivate prospective relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications in order to create new opportunities
  • Generate qualified monthly meetings through outbound calling and email campaigns for the US sales team on all product and service lines focused on IP
  • Map and source the US and Canadian territories/accounts for prospective sales leads
  • Work jointly with management to define phone and mail pitches for each ideal customer profile in the IP industry
  • Build individual strategic business plans to penetrate accounts in each territory
  • Follow-up on Questel events and communications (webinars, newsletters, whitepapers, etc.)
  • Work closely with sales manager to define evolving priorities
  • Collaborate with marketing team to drive social media activities across the sales team to identify prospects
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to management via CRM and email to ensure proper tracking and monitoring of monthly goals
  • Meet or exceed monthly totals
  • Work on special projects and other duties as assigned by management

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with inside sales and/or cold calling required. In addition, any combination of education, professional experience, and training provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Ability to assess customer needs and present solutions
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and regularly report on progress
  • Ability to effectively multi-task in stressful situations
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience with CRM software preferred
  • Highly motivated with a willingness to take initiative and complete assignments
  • Willing to participate in a culture of responsiveness to strengthen relationships and ensure the needs and time of others are met and respected
  • Fluent in English
  • Fluency in a second language, other than English, preferred but not required
