This position reports to the Shift Supervisor.
What you will do:
  • Perform all work in a safe and controlled manner, adhere to safety and environmental policies
  • Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following Nutrien, OSHA, MSHA, and MARSEC guidelines
  • Use proper personal protection equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, face shields, flash suits, and personal environmental monitors
  • Work as part of a team to complete assignments and minimize downtime
  • Work as a productive team member and support continuous improvement
  • Cross-train and work in all areas of the facility, as needed
  • Perform work from elevated structures, ladders, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and man-baskets
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations as set forth by the company
  • Work a 12-hour rotating shift
  • Work with rail cars to load or unload products
  • Work will require you to be in/on, catwalks, confined space, and working at heights.

What you will bring:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • The National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) testing is required for all hourly applicants of Nutrien. Applicants must complete this test and meet a minimum of 4 in Graphic Literacy, 5 on Applied Mathematics and 5 on Workplace Documents in order to be considered eligible for employment with Nutrien
    • The National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) must be uploaded with your resume during your application to be considered eligible for employment with Nutrien
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as process flow diagrams and equipment manuals
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to wear required, company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)--i.e., uniforms, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, emergency breathing apparatus
  • Work environment will be indoors and outdoors (in all weather conditions)
  • Ability to be clean-shaven for safety reasons

Compensation & Benefits:
Starting rate $27.48 per hour (plus available overtime).
The salary range for this role, in Aurora, NC is, between $27.48 - $43.14. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ.
Nutrien offers a skills-based pay compensation program. Hourly rates can progresses based on On-Job-Training, formal learning, and observation of new skills. Hourly rates can progress from starting rate of $27.48 to $43.14 per hour over a specified time period.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
