Job description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Following all safety rules and procedures
  • Teamwork effort and involvement in order to meet all goals
  • Operating the glue machine and double backer to produce high quality and high quantity output;
  • Preparing double backer liner rolls and splices;
  • Adjusting double backer liner roll stand (lateral adjustment), hot plates and preheater settings;
  • Lining up single face and double back webs;
  • Checking and adjusting glue machine starch settings;
  • Making special set ups for reinforcement tapes or tear tape;
  • Help the single facer operator and learn to operate s/f;
  • Helping on other parts of the corrugator when the machine is down;
  • Preparing down (butt) rolls for storage by identifying these rolls with tags and/or writing;
  • When machine is down stay at your station and keep area clean, until further instructed by operator or supervisor;
  • Maintaining clean and organized work areas.
  • Cleaning the glue machine and double backer;
  • Completing accurate records; and SPI wet end checks
  • Preset settings for different board combinations;
