Job description

Join Our Team as a 3rd Shift MIG MAG Operator
Are you a skilled welder looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? MENK USA LLC is seeking dedicated team members to help us build high-quality radiator components. On our 2nd shift, you'll put your welding expertise to work, contribute to a collaborative team, and take pride in producing products that meet the highest engineering and quality standards.

Hours: Sunday - Thursday 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.

Wage: $21.42 + $2.00 shift differential after completion of training

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up and manually operate MIG welding equipment to weld radiator stiffener components.

  • Adjust welding parameters, including voltage, amperage, gas flow, wire feed speed, and weld travel speed.

  • Operate oxygen/acetylene torch equipment as required.

  • Set up, run, and troubleshoot welding machines and related equipment.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, prints, and job traveler packets.

  • Measure components using metric tape measures to ensure dimensional accuracy.

  • Apply hardware according to job travelers and engineering prints.

  • Inspect welds and finished components to ensure quality standards are met.

  • Support cross-training efforts and assist in other production areas as needed.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area in accordance with safety and 5S standards.

  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.

Quality Responsibilities:

  • Perform work in accordance with MENK USA LLC ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System requirements.

  • Follow established quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation requirements.

  • Identify and report quality concerns or nonconforming conditions.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of MIG welding processes and oxygen/acetylene torch operation.

  • Ability to weld multiple material thicknesses.

  • Ability to read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Strong attention to quality and detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Consistently maintain productive output.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment required.

  • Multi-thickness welding experience required.

  • Overhead crane or industrial lifting experience preferred.

Education and Training:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Technical school training and/or on-the-job MIG welding experience.

  • Proficiency with welding tools and equipment.

  • Employees must meet minimum competency requirements and maintain required training.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, stoop, squat, and kneel for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to travel throughout the facility and operate appropriate lifting equipment.

  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
