Job description

Job Title: Entry-Level Assistant Project Coordinator

Location: Harvey, LA

Job Overview: Responsibilities of the Entry-Level Assistant Project Coordinator position include, but are not limited to assisting the evaluation and scope of work to be performed on projects,

Key Responsibilities:

·         Communicating the needed repairs with both internal and external customers.

·         Aiding in the estimations of quotes.

·         Survey projects and proposals.

Qualifications:

·         The ideal candidate must have at least 6 months of mechanical experience, graduated from a technical/mechanical program, or at least 6 months of experience performing project coordination functions within a construction and/or manufacturing setting.

·         Basic blueprint reading skills, shipyard experience, and/or familiarity with USCG and ABS rules/regulations are a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

·         Basic computer experience utilizing MS Office applications (i.e. MS Word and MS Excel) etc.

·         The ability to communicate effectively with customers, managers, outside representatives and subcontractors.
