Job description

About Drug Hunter
Drug Hunter is a B2B subscription scientific intelligence platform for biotech and pharmaceutical R&D scientists that empowers them to discover the medicines of the future. We serve many of the world's leading biotech and pharmaceutical organizations, including Dow 30 and S&P 500 companies.
Who We Are Looking For
Are you looking to launch your IT career on a team that will actually invest in you? We're looking for an IT Support Specialist to be the friendly first point of contact for our fully remote team, keeping everyone's devices, accounts, and tools running smoothly. This is an entry-level role built for a bright, driven person who may not have all the experience yet but has the ability to pick things up fast and grow into a well-rounded technologist.
About Our Team
We're a small, remote-first company that depends on our tools working well and our people getting fast, patient help when they don't. You'll work closely with the rest of the team, with plenty of mentorship and room to grow. We value curiosity, reliability, and a genuine willingness to help. We'll give you real ownership as you get comfortable, rather than making you wait years to earn it.
What You'll Do
  • Serve as the first point of contact for help desk requests, troubleshooting hardware and software issues for a fully remote team.
  • Manage and maintain our Mac and Windows fleet, using JAMF for Macs and Windows management tooling for everything from setup and configuration to updates and security compliance.
  • Handle user provisioning end to end: onboarding new hires with the right accounts, devices, and access, and offboarding departures cleanly and securely.
  • Administer Google Workspace, managing accounts, groups, and access as part of day-to-day provisioning and support.
  • Manage access to software and applications, granting, adjusting, and revoking permissions across the tools the company relies on.
  • Take direction on day-to-day work while also running smaller projects independently, with light oversight rather than constant hand-holding.
  • Grow into owning systems outright as you build confidence in them, taking on more responsibility over time.
  • Document common issues and fixes, helping build out an internal knowledge base that makes everyone's life easier.

Requirements
What We're Looking For
  • A quick learner. Above all, we want someone who picks things up fast and is genuinely excited to learn. We care more about drive and aptitude than a long rรฉsumรฉ.
  • A real interest in IT support and the patience to help people solve problems, no matter their technical comfort level.
  • The ability to take direction well and also work through projects on your own with only light supervision.
  • Some familiarity with macOS and Windows environments; hands-on exposure to device management (JAMF or another MDM) is a plus but not required.
  • A basic grasp of user account and access management, or the eagerness to learn it quickly.
  • Experience with or comfort learning Google Workspace administration.
  • Strong communication skills, especially the ability to explain technical things clearly to non-technical colleagues.
  • Organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
  • Relevant coursework, a certification like CompTIA A+, a degree, or equivalent hands-on experience is welcome, but attitude and ability to learn matter most.

Benefits
Benefits
Drug Hunter provides industry-leading benefits, including the following:
  • $50,000-$60,000 Salary depending on experience
  • Broad range of medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans for employees and their dependents, including generous coverage for a platinum PPO healthcare plan
  • Short-term disability and long-term disability insurance
  • Cancer and critical illness coverage
  • Up to 14 weeks paid parental leave (after 1 yr tenure) and childcare FSA plan
  • 401(k) + employer match
  • Home office set up stipend for fully remote employees
  • Learning and development support
  • Generous and flexible vacation and leave policies
