Job description

Summary/Objective

The Bingo Caller is an entry-level but high-impact position that sets the tone and pace for each bingo session. As the voice of the game, the Caller must be fun, outgoing, and able to confidently engage a live audience while ensuring accuracy and fairness throughout the event. In addition to calling numbers and verifying winners, the Caller provides announcements, supports promotions, and helps create a lively and welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role requires a clear speaking voice, strong communication skills, and a performance-minded presence on the microphone.

Key Accountabilities­

Conduct bingo sessions with energy and professionalism.
Call bingo numbers clearly and audibly using a microphone
Maintain rhythm, engagement, and an upbeat tone throughout the session
Verify winners, announce jackpots, and manage game progression smoothly

Support game control and accuracy.
Record control numbers, winners, serial numbers, and growing prize totals
Prepare session reports and documentation as required

Promote guest engagement and provide information.
Answer player questions and announce session-related information or promotions
Relay special messages, instructions, or safety reminders in a professional tone

Maintain equipment and the caller’s booth.
Operate the bingo console and monitor digital game tools
Report malfunctions or technical issues to the appropriate personnel

Support departmental teamwork and floor coordination.
Communicate with floor staff to verify wins and ensure timely payouts
Assist with other bingo duties as assigned by the Manager - Bingo Operations

Qualifications
General
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain a Ute Mountain Ute Gaming Commission Bingo Support License (background checks may be required).
  • Must pass a drug test.
  • Must be fun, outgoing, and confident in front of a live audience
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required

Experience

  • Prior experience in customer service, public speaking, or entertainment is preferred
  • Previous bingo or gaming floor experience is helpful but not required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Clear speaking voice and strong verbal communication skills
  • Comfort using a microphone and engaging with large groups
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to operate bingo software
  • Positive attitude, poise under pressure, and a commitment to accuracy
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate with floor staff and other personnel
  • Willingness to work as a team, learn and take direction in a fast-paced, structured, and regulated environment
