POSITION SUMMARY:
The Marketing Assistant is a part-time, entry-level position, which executes business development tasks as assigned by the General Manager. Many of these tasks include Front Desk, Concessions, Admissions, and Operations roles performing a variety of duties meeting the needs of the guests.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Assists with traffic building promotions, and stages all major events, contests, promotions
  • Assists with sponsorship execution
  • Solicits new business including prospecting and cold calling
  • Creates and distribute banquet and event promotional packages
  • Assists with the booking of birthday parties, and other group events
  • Acts as personal host for all parties & events; conduct guided tours
  • Assists the graphics team in capturing content (photo, video, etc.) for use in creating in-house flyers, invitations, print ads, posters, e-mail marketing, website content
  • Maintains a good public relation at all times by being helpful and cheerful
  • Performs the job safely and in compliance with company policies, procedures, work and safety rules and the team member manual
  • Responsible for proper handling of cash, assigned bank, and cash register operations
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be 17+ years of age
  • Must have education and some experience in business development disciplines such as promotions, advertising, PR, merchandising, graphic design, fundraising and sponsorship sales, website design, email marketing, and campaign management.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving and negotiating skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights and holidays

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds waist high
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, or bend
  • Facility has intermittent noise
