Job description

This is a pipeline requisition designed to proactively identify talent for future hiring needs. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis, and candidates may be considered for current or future openings across the organization.

General Summary:

The Sales Development Representative provides support for the sales team. This role is responsible for generating new business opportunities by qualifying leads and prospecting through existing business accounts to engage potential partners. This role works in partnership with the sales team to begin the forefront of the sales process. With your consent, reference checks will be conducted prior to receiving an offer. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works collaboratively with sales executives to identify net-new sell-to opportunities
  • Heavy emphasis on outbound, proactive calling to cultivate business (75+ calls per day)
  • Uses industry insights and ConnectWise value propositions to generate business leads via cold call, email, and social strategies
  • Uncovers business needs through a consultative approach to learn more about company objectives, pain points, processes, and opportunities for improvement
  • Drives sales growth and pipeline by setting up qualified meetings
  • Identifies the appropriate opportunity for the correct solution, stays up to date on new software and products

  • Knowledge of the IT, Professional Services, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) markets
  • Demonstrate exceptional positioning and qualification skills, with proven evidence of reaching sales objectives
  • Strong, professional verbal and written communication skills

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • Requires broad knowledge of job procedures and tools (Microsoft Suite and Salesforce and Outreach)
  • Preferred: Experience or knowledge in Managed Services industry or inside sales/outbound sales
  • Bachelor's degree required in related field or equivalent business experience
  • 1+ years of experience in relevant field 

Working Conditions:

  • Tampa, FL in office full time 
  • 0-10 % travel may be required
