This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII's Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations.

Who We Are
HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented Assembler to join our team in Elkridge, MD. This part-time role is expected to last for approximately 3 - 6 months, supporting our production needs during a critical project phase. The Assembler will work a flexible schedule on an as-needed basis. While the position is temporary, there is potential for additional project iterations and extended work upon successful completion of the initial assignment.
What You Will Do
  • Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables
  • Work from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools
  • Make continuity checks on work in process and completed
  • May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications
  • May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions

What We Are Looking For
  • High School diploma and 2 years additional education or 2 years relevant experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Preferred: Bonus Points For...
  • Active Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift forty pounds, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes and work in high heat/cold environments, aboard ships, under industrial conditions, in confined spaces, at heights, and in extreme weather. Ability to operate portable power tools. Work may involve climbing and working on ladders.
