Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience Level:

1-2 years of electro-mechanical assembly or related experience.

Overview:

Job Responsibilities:

· Ability to read and follow assembly Drawings, Build Books, and some schematics

· Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified

· Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes

· Soldering – Thru Hole, Jumper Wires

· Harness Assembly - layout and dressing of wires to drawing or in accordance with cable layout form as required

· Fiber Cables – Handling and Cleaning

· Cable Termination – Use of various Terminals, Mil-Spec Pins, Sockets, and Connectors,

· Use and maintenance of typical Hand Tools

· Proper application and handling of adhesives

· Maintain inventory of product in workstations

· Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards

· Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures

· Assist in providing input and development of build book guides

· Mechanical Assembly

· Maintain a clean and safe work area

· J-STD-Certification is preferred

Physical Demands and Abilities:

· Regularly lift 30-50 pounds

· Proficient manual dexterity to assemble pieces together quickly and accurately using the appropriate tooling

· Visual acuity sufficient for close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus on the assembly task at hand.

· Regularly perform repetitive tasks


Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years electro-mechanical assembly or related experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Able to troubleshoot and problem solve in a dynamic work environment with professionalism and positive work ethic
  • Ability to perform work accurately, thoroughly, at a high level with attention to detail
  • Demonstrate conceptual and logical reasoning abilities in problem solving
  • High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
  • Related technical or vocational training or certification experience highly desirable
