Asphalt Paving Technician โ€“ Night Shift

Banks Construction Company is looking for hardworking, dependable individuals who are interested in starting or growing a career in the heavy highway construction industry. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, likes being part of a team, and is interested in learning asphalt paving operations.


This position will support our paving crews on night shift, working alongside experienced team members on active jobsites throughout the Charleston area. Youโ€™ll learn the basics of asphalt paving, assist with hands-on field work, and gain valuable skills that can lead to long-term growth in construction.

What Youโ€™ll Do


As an Asphalt Paving Technician, youโ€™ll support our paving crews with hands-on construction work. This is an entry-level field position with the opportunity to learn from experienced team members and grow within the company.


You may help with:

  • Supporting asphalt paving operations on active jobsites
  • Assisting equipment operators and other crew members
  • Shoveling, raking, and luting asphalt as needed
  • Using hand tools and power tools safely
  • Helping prepare areas for paving work
  • Learning how roads, parking lots, highways, and large commercial sites are paved
  • Working as part of a crew to complete projects safely and efficiently

Our paving crews work on a variety of projects, including commercial sites, secondary roads, highways, interstates, ports, and other major infrastructure projects across the Charleston area.


Schedule


This position is for night shift work. Hours may vary depending on project needs, weather, and crew schedules. Candidates should be comfortable working overnight hours and outdoor jobsite conditions.
