Job Description
Kavaliro is seeking a Pricing Analyst for one of our Jacksonville clients. This position will be onsite 5 days a week and top candidates will be able to provide a high level of customer service, and insights into a variety of reporting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with pricing and planning teams to develop and recommend pricing strategies that enhance profitability across products, customers, or regions, including modeling revenue and margin opportunities.
  • Conduct detailed analyses of product and competitive data to optimize regular pricing for merchandising categories and track performance metrics such as sales and margins.
  • Partner with inventory management, marketing, and merchandising teams to optimize promotional pricing, analyze outcomes, and recommend items and pricing for future campaigns.
  • Support the development of pricing strategies by assisting in policy creation and ensuring alignment with competitive positioning and profitability goals.
  • Assess pricing exception requests for feasibility and reasonableness.
  • Perform data analysis using Excel and database tools to support pricing initiatives.
  • Contribute to strategic pricing projects identified by company leadership.
  • Combine diverse information and use research, intuition, and experience to design workflows and successfully implement sales and marketing programs that deliver measurable growth.
  • Analyze market trends and competition to identify opportunities and risks while adapting to dynamic conditions.
  • Align pricing activities with strategic organizational goals, focusing on profitability and market competitiveness.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Preferred experience in retail/wholesale pricing, merchandising, or marketing analysis at both strategic and tactical levels.
  • Familiarity with pricing optimization and modeling within retail or wholesale environments.
  • Knowledge of statistical and pricing models with experience in financial and business analysis related to sales and margins.
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced level) and SQL; understanding of business intelligence tools is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to executive leadership.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience interacting with executives and managing presentations effectively.
  • Familiarity with AS400 systems is an advantage.
