The College of Human Development, Culture, and Media of Seton Hall University invites applications for part-time adjunct instructors to teach on-campus in our Art History program. The College seeks to engage individuals who value creativity, diversity, inclusion, and collaboration.
Seton Hall University is located in South Orange, New Jersey, just 14 miles from New York City. It is the oldest Catholic diocesan institution of higher education in the United States. It is home to approximately 6,300 undergraduate and 4,700 graduate students from all 50 states and more than 60 foreign countries. An exciting and culturally diverse community, Seton Hall pursues academic excellence and ethical development in a collaborative environment and prepares its students to be servant leaders in their professional and community lives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Teach up to two courses per semester
Each class meets twice a week for a combined 2.5 hours

Required Qualifications:

Expertise and ability to teach in one or more of the following areas: Art of the Western World (Western art survey from prehistory to present)
Earned PhD degree in art history

Licenses and Certificates:

A minimum of one year teaching experience at the college level
Earned terminal degree in art history

Salary Range:

Minimum pay is $1200 per credit for those without a terminal degree and $1300 per credit for those with a terminal degree
