About the Role:
Advanced Orthopaedic Associates of Wayne, NJ is looking for a detail-oriented Medical Summary Writer/Administrative Assistant to join our   healthcare team. 
Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing all  medical  records, extracting pertinent information, and composing a summary of same
  • Assist physicians and clinical staff with administrative support and daily office operations
  • Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and handle patient correspondence
  • Review and transcribe medical notes, operative reports, and treatment plans
  • Communicate professionally with patients, insurance companies, and third-party vendors
  • Maintain and organize electronic health records (EHR) and medical documentation systems
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in medical writing, medical transcription, or healthcare administration preferred
  • Familiarity with Orthopaedic or medical terminology strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical records management
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
