Job Description:
The Grant Writing Intern expands the Foundation's capacity to pursue philanthropic revenue by supporting grant research, writing, reporting, and administrative activities. The role allows full-time staff to focus on larger, more strategic funding opportunities while maintaining a strong pipeline of grant submissions and revenue growth.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation, writing, and submission of grant proposals and applications.
  • Conduct prospect research to identify potential foundation, corporate, and community grant opportunities.
  • Support grant reporting, tracking deadlines, and maintaining grant records.
  • Draft correspondence, summaries, and supporting materials for grant submissions.
  • Assist with data collection and program information needed for grant proposals and reports.
  • Manage routine and low to midlevel grant opportunities with AHF staff oversight and coaching.
  • Support special projects and administrative tasks related to philanthropy and foundation operations.
  • Collaborate with Foundation team members to ensure timely and accurate grant submissions.
  • Contribute ideas for process improvements and increased efficiency within grant development activities.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $19.61 to $26.70 per hour
The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
