What does a Sports Book Writer do?
  • Greet guests quickly and accurately input betting information into the system. Prints tickets, accepts money, and gives tickets and change to the guests.
  • Ask guests to check their tickets for accuracy before leaving the window.
  • Accurately maintains bank; conducts monetary transactions including making change, paying out wins, and conducting money exchanges throughout the entire shift and at closing.

Work Experience
To be successful as a Sports Book Writer, you'll need:
  • A High School Diploma or Equivalency is required.
  • Previous money-handling experience. At least 6 months in a gaming environment (preferred).
  • The mathematical ability (addition and subtraction) to accurately pay and collect funds for guests.
  • To stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 31 - 40 pounds.
