In a Nutshell
VaynerX is looking for a high-energy, deeply empathetic, and process-driven Senior Associate to join our People and Experience Team (PET) on the Business Partner track. In this role, you will be the dedicated, go-to people champion for our entry-level talent in New York across three of our dynamic business pods.
We're looking for a relationship-first "owner"-someone with high emotional intelligence who can seamlessly manage new hire logistics, help guide managers and junior employees through feedback cycles, and proactively safeguard the health and retention of our early-career team members.
The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to step into true relationship ownership early in your People career. You will immediately inherit and manage the 1:1 relationships with our New York entry-level cohort, serving as their trusted sounding board and developmental guide.
Reporting directly to a Senior Director on the People & Experience Team (PET) and working closely with other experienced PET members, you will have a front-row seat to strategic people operations. You will join a team with incredible institutional knowledge and heart, where you will be encouraged to take risks, learn the nuances of high-impact talent management, and contribute your ideas to shape/enhance the employee experience.
What You'd Do
Relationship Ownership & Talent Health
  • Proactive 1:1 Engagement: Cultivate and lead 1:1 engagement for early-career employees in New York, maintaining a pulse on employee sentiment to mitigate burnout and strengthen retention efforts.
  • Feedback & Performance Coaching: Support junior talent through career journey and development milestones, partnering with other PET members to coach mid-level managers on how to deliver clear, constructive feedback.
  • Escalation & Alignment: Maintain a highly consultative relationship with PET leadership, vetting complex employee relation issues with your Senior Director before executing solutions.
  • Cross-team Collaboration: Act as a critical operational and experience bridge across three pods, ensuring consistency in standard operating procedures and performance/employee milestones.

Operational Excellence, Agility & Scale
  • Onboarding & New Hire Kickoffs: Lead the orchestration of new hire kickoff calls, setting the foundation for rapport and establishing the tone for each employee's long-term career journey from Day 1.
  • Support Initiatives: Support PET initiatives, and proactively identify creative ways to implement/scale support, including optimizing onboarding experiences and facilitating exit interviews to gather actionable insights.
  • Operational Logistics: Manage end-to-end logistics, scheduling, and tracking for PET initiatives to ensure seamless execution across your pods.
  • PET Workflows: Partner closely with our team Associate to clean up, optimize, and streamline day-to-day PET workflows and process efficiencies.

What You've Got
  • People Foundations: Ideally 1-2 years of relevant experience in the people support function. A background or foundational understanding of HR systems, general policies, and employee feedback cycles is ideal.
  • Deep Empathy & High EQ: You have a natural ability to connect with people, read a room, and navigate sensitive human situations with patience, kindness, and absolute discretion.
  • Strong Project Management & Critical Thinking: You don't just execute a task; you understand the "why" behind it. You can track multiple moving pieces across different pods without letting details slip.
  • Strategic Problem Solving: You don't just flag problems; you bring potential solutions to the table. You have strong critical thinking skills.
  • A Curious & Coachable Mindset: You are hungry to learn the art of career coaching and talent strategy. You actively seek out feedback and view challenges as opportunities to develop your skills.
  • Tech Savvy: Fluent in G Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and comfortable learning people management software (like HiBob) quickly.
  • Discretion: You understand the sensitive nature of People situations/data and can be trusted with the highest level of confidentiality.

The Vayner Way
We are not your typical HR department. We are all about the People & their Experience working at Vayner. We believe in empathy, speed, and the power of human connection. If you are ready to work hard, learn fast, and be part of a team that is redefining the workplace, we want to hear from you.
Unsure if you meet the qualifications? We are always looking for talent which will continue to cultivate an inclusive and representative team that will enhance our perspectives, skill sets, background, and behaviors. We encourage those who are passionate about what we do to apply!
  • Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
  • Employer-sponsored 401k with match
  • Medical, Dental, and vision coverage
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Caregiver (Parental) Leave
  • Health and Wellness benefits
