Job description

Our client is looking for an Engineering Technician to support a cross-functional team responsible for preparing, reviewing, and maintaining technical data used in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in translating customer and design requirements into accurate production and purchasing information. Precision and attention to detail are essential, as downstream manufacturing processes rely directly on the technical specifications created by Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
  • Process customer and project orders using CAD-based design and configuration software to generate accurate production and purchasing data.
  • Interpret customer requirements, drawings, and specifications to ensure technical accuracy and manufacturability.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service and other internal teams to resolve order discrepancies and develop effective solutions.
  • Validate technical data across multiple formats and systems to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Create professional, ad-hoc reports in Excel to support engineering, production, and purchasing needs.
  • Research materials, hardware applications, equipment capabilities, and process improvements as needed.
  • Support additional engineering and documentation tasks as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, lookups, logical functions, and data analysis.
