What is an entry level air freight job?

Entry level air freight jobs are positions within the air cargo and logistics industry that require little to no prior experience. These roles often involve tasks such as processing shipments, tracking cargo, preparing documentation, and assisting with loading and unloading freight. Entry level workers may work for airlines, freight forwarders, or logistics companies, and typically receive on-the-job training to learn industry standards and safety procedures. These positions offer opportunities to gain experience and advance to more specialized or supervisory roles in the future.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an entry level air freight professional?

To thrive as an Entry Level Air Freight professional, you typically need attention to detail, basic logistics knowledge, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with shipment tracking systems, warehouse management software, and barcode scanners is often required. Strong organizational skills, teamwork, and effective communication help you manage shipments efficiently and resolve issues quickly. These skills ensure accurate handling of cargo, timely deliveries, and smooth coordination within the fast-paced air freight environment.

What are some common challenges faced by entry level air freight employees, and how can they be overcome?
