Can I get an AI job with no experience?

Entry-level AI cybersecurity roles often require some foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, programming, and AI concepts, but many employers are willing to train candidates with no prior experience if they demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn. Certifications like CompTIA Security+ or introductory courses in AI and cybersecurity can improve your chances. Gaining hands-on experience through internships, labs, or personal projects can also help you qualify for such positions.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Entry Level AI Cyber Security professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Entry Level AI Cyber Security professional, you need foundational knowledge in computer science, cybersecurity principles, and basic understanding of AI and machine learning, often supported by a relevant degree or certifications like CompTIA Security+ or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH). Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM systems, intrusion detection software, and programming languages like Python is typically expected. Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills help you identify threats and effectively collaborate with teams. These skills are essential for protecting digital assets and proactively addressing evolving cyber threats in AI-driven environments.

Will AI replace entry-level cybersecurity jobs?

AI is expected to augment rather than replace entry-level cybersecurity jobs, as these roles often involve tasks like monitoring, threat detection, and incident response that benefit from human oversight. Entry-level professionals can enhance their effectiveness by developing skills in security tools, scripting, and understanding AI-driven security systems. Human judgment remains essential for complex decision-making and adapting to new threats.

Can I make $200,000 a year in cyber security?

Entry-level AI cybersecurity roles typically do not pay $200,000 annually; such high salaries are usually reserved for senior positions with extensive experience, advanced certifications, and specialized skills. Most cybersecurity professionals earn between $70,000 and $120,000 at the start, with higher earnings possible as they gain expertise and move into management or specialized roles.

What are some common challenges faced by entry-level AI cyber security professionals, and how can they overcome them?

Entry-level AI cyber security professionals often encounter challenges such as keeping pace with rapidly evolving threats and technologies, understanding complex AI-driven attack vectors, and bridging the gap between traditional IT security practices and AI-based systems. To overcome these hurdles, it's important to engage in continuous learning through online courses, certifications, and active participation in security communities. Collaborating with more experienced team members and seeking mentorship can also help new professionals gain practical insights and stay updated on industry best practices.

What is an entry level AI cyber security job?

An entry level AI cyber security job is a position designed for individuals who are new to the field of cyber security and interested in working with artificial intelligence technologies. These roles typically involve monitoring networks for threats, assisting in the implementation of security protocols, and supporting the development of AI-driven tools to detect and respond to cyber attacks. Entry level professionals may work as security analysts, junior data scientists, or support engineers, gaining hands-on experience while learning about both cyber security and AI applications. Most positions require a foundational understanding of computer science, basic programming skills, and a strong interest in technology and security trends.

Which 3 jobs will survive AI?

Entry Level AI Cyber Security roles are likely to persist because they require specialized knowledge of security protocols, threat detection, and human judgment that AI cannot fully replicate. Jobs involving complex problem-solving, strategic planning, and interpersonal communication, such as security analysts, cybersecurity engineers, and incident responders, are expected to remain in demand despite AI advancements.

  • Book qualified meetings for vCISO, cybersecurity advisory, compliance readiness, AI governance, and fractional leadership services
  • Manage daily activity, follow-ups, and notes in CRM and sales engagement tools
  • Work closely with sales leadership to improve messaging, call scripts, objection handling, and outbound strategy
  • Build strong sales habits, hit activity goals, and consistently create pipeline

  • Coachability and willingness to learn cybersecurity and consultative selling
  • Prior experience in business development, inside sales, cold calling, appointment setting, recruiting, or lead generation is a plus
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity, technology, consulting, or and professional services is a plus
  • Comfort with a high volume of daily outreach activity, including cold calls
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong phone presence and the ability to speak confidently with prospects
  • Excellent organization, follow-up discipline, and attention to detail
  • Competitive mindset, strong work ethic, and a desire to win
  • Ability to work onsite in New York City 5 days a week

Why Join CXO Advisor by ISMG?
