The ideal candidate is passionate about AI security as a discipline, intellectually curious, and eager to grow alongside a seasoned security team at one of North America's largest steel producers. This is a career opportunity for someone who wants to plant their flag in one of the fastest-growing specializations in cybersecurity and build a career around it.
Summary of Responsibilities
  • Own day-to-day operations and administration of AI security tooling, including prompt injection detection, data loss prevention at the AI layer, and shadow AI monitoring
  • Research AI security hardening guidance across enterprise AI platforms and synthesize findings into clear, actionable recommendations for the cybersecurity team
  • Support implementation of approved AI security controls across the environment in coordination with senior security staff
  • Monitor the AI threat landscape - tracking emerging attack techniques, vendor advisories, and industry frameworks such as the OWASP LLM Top 10 - and bring relevant findings to the team
  • Develop and deliver AI security awareness content and training for both technical and non-technical audiences across the organization
  • Contribute to AI governance standards, acceptable use policies, and enterprise AI risk documentation
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to evaluate new AI tools for security risk prior to deployment
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field - or equivalent demonstrated knowledge
  • Genuine interest in AI cybersecurity as a career focus, not just as a general technology interest
  • Familiarity with AI/LLM security concepts including prompt injection, model abuse, data leakage, and shadow AI risk
  • Ability to conduct independent research, synthesize technical findings, and communicate them clearly to a security team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-directed curiosity - actively following developments in the AI security space on your own
  • Must be able to work full-time onsite
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Cleveland-Cliffs does not provide sponsorship for this position.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience working with large language models or AI platforms, including personal or academic projects
  • Familiarity with the OWASP LLM Top 10 or MITRE ATLAS framework
  • Experience developing security awareness or training content
  • Any relevant certifications or coursework in cybersecurity or AI/ML security (CompTIA Security+, SANS, Coursera AI security tracks, etc.)
  • Familiarity with enterprise productivity and collaboration platforms from a security perspective
  • Understanding of data loss prevention concepts and policy enforcement
