Manufacturing and Production Entry Level Positions - Multiple Shifts (1st, 2nd or Weekend) and Part Time Positions Available

Primary Purpose:
We are hiring for many manufacturing and production positions in aerospace. Qualified candidates applying to this role will have the opportunity to discuss specific roles they are interested in and qualified for. Positions are open at CPP Syracuse which is located in Chittenango, NY and there are openings on a variety of shifts.

We will teach you all you need to know - all we ask is that you come with a team player spirt and willingness to lean. Eventually, you'll use your skills and experience to tackle challenges, achieve objectives, mentor other associates, and contribute to both short-term and long-term business success.

CANDIDATES OFFERED EMPLOYMENT ARE REQUIRED TO PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG TEST & BACKGROUND STUDY PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT
What You'll Be Doing:
  • You could be inspecting, cleaning, sorting, resizing, and weighing virgin wax to prepare for the injection and assembly process.
  • You could be weighing and preparing slurry mixtures for the creation of ceramic molds.
  • You could be building and deconstructing crucibles. Crucibles are containers used to melt metals in a furnace, which are usually made of ceramic materials.
  • You could be inspecting and preparing molds for the melted alloys to be poured into.
  • You could be using state of the art automation robots to assemble molds, and prepare them for the casting process.
  • You could be using NDT technology to X-ray each part to ensure no internal defects are present.
  • Throughout our process you could use various equipment, such as computers, robots, metal shear, injection mold machines, hydraulic press, plasma torch, grinders, cut-off saw, cranes and forklifts.
  • You will also be in a team environment so collaboration, multitasking, and providing guidance to colleagues at times will be required.
  • Most importantly you will need to adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience: No prior experience required as we provide training, but prior manufacturing or mechanical experience is a plus!
  • Computer skills: Basic computer skills are needed
  • Certifications/Licenses: Forklift license is a plus, but not required
  • Language skills: Ability to read, understand, and comprehend documents. Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, and leadership. 
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to use basic gages and measuring devices. 
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, and diagram form.
  • The ability to be reliable, work overtime as needed, and be committed to working at our Chittenango, NY facility.

Working Conditions:
  • Frequently work near moving mechanical parts.
  • The physical effort applied in this job includes lifting, pulling, reaching, manipulating, carrying, pushing, or shoveling.
  • Manufacturing requires repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and arms.
