Overview

Come use your enthusiasm and knowledge of 3D spatial analytics to help develop world-class software solutions! The ArcGIS 3D Analyst extension allows users to create, import and convert 3D data between different formats, and analyze surfaces and 3D features to better understand their environment.  We're seeking a highly motivated individual to bring state of the art technology to a large and diverse customer base with a wide range of 3D applications.

Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, test, and document new software tools and techniques
  • Grow capabilities for lidar data management, analysis, classification, and feature extraction tools
  • Deploy tools that utilize deep learning technology to solve complex problems
  • Grow expertise in using Triangulated Irregular Network (TIN) for surface modeling as well as its use as a spatial data structure
  • Help make 3D textured reality meshes useful for more than just visualization
  • Sharpen and exercise your skills in presenting, demonstrating, and communicating technical topics to colleagues and customers
  • Support spatial analysis on 3D features, including spatial proximity queries and solid operators

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in GIS or related field
  • Proven track record solving complex problems involving lidar, TIN, and/or 3D geometry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in geography, earth science, planning, environmental studies, engineering, computer science, or statistics

Recommended Qualifications

  • Experience with ArcGIS
  • Scripting/programming with Python, C#, C++
  • Surface analysis, DEM/DTM production, 3D data visualization
  • Master's degree in geography or earth science
