Job description

Team Lead Order Entry

Reporting to Inside Sales Support Supervisor, this position will be responsible for managing the team of Order Entry Representatives. This includes ensuring the timely and accurate receipt and processing of all orders, as well as development of employees, and driving continuous improvement efforts to allow for more efficient order entry processes.

As a Team Lead Order Entry you will:

  • Escalation resource for Order Entry issues within Customer Service department.
  • Tracking and reporting of daily order entry metrics.
    • Supports order management for minimally customized highly, reproducible orders, including blanket orders.
    • Consult with various departments within G&W Electric as appropriate to resolve issues that arise during order life cycle of the order.
    • Maintains strong support for and interacts with the Regional Vice Presidents and outside sales representatives.
    • Provide timely and effective communication to internal and external customers. Internal customers are defined as any G&W Entity; external customers are defined as any G&W Sales Representative, Regional Vice President and end users of G&W equipment.
    • Maintain customer files, including customer's specific requirements as defined within the team's protocol including but not limited to ISO or G&W Work Instruction or procedure.

  • Responsible for approval of timecards for hourly customer service employees.
  • Responsible for skills development and evaluation of Customer Service team and Order Management Associate.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of processes within order entry/customer service team. This includes participation and driving of implementation and improvement efforts involving Salesforce (CRM) software, Ariba and Edi electronic order transaction tools, Reports Now, and JD Edwards ERP software.
  • Plans and organizes the resources necessary to complete a project utilizing the necessary principles, techniques, and tools used in planning, control, monitoring and review of projects.

We are looking for someone who:

  • B.S. Degree within an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience

  • Documented ability to resolve issues independently.
  • Strong written communication skills a must.

Ideally you will also have:

  • Working knowledge of JD Edwards software.
  • 5 years of experience working in an operational role within a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience within the power industry.

The working conditions of the role are:

  • General Office Environment, PC use
  • Light Lifting (occasional 25 lbs or less)
  • Stooping/Bending, squatting/kneeling - occasional
  • Standing
  • Heavy Lifting and/or carrying on an occasional basis up to ~ 50lbs

What we offer you:

Typical pay is $55,309 - 69,379 annually.
