Overview

An Usher is a vital member of the arena staff as they are involved in direct contact with the public, providing an exceptional level of world-class customer service. As a representative of CFG Bank Arena, a friendly greeting attached to a smiling face goes a long way in helping our guests enjoy their visit. An usher provides top-notch customer service while interacting with every guest. Our ushers are essential in creating a safe and memorable experience for all guests at CFG Bank Arena. This position is ideal for candidates who want to immerse themselves in an exciting live entertainment environment and create lasting experiences and memories.

This role pays an hourly rate of $18.50

This position will remain open until November 6, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Provide consistent, world-class customer service throughout all arena spaces, proactively welcoming guests, answering questions, and thanking guests for attending.
  • Identify opportunities to create memorable experiences for guests
  • Perform thorough ticket checks and scans to ensure valid access into ticketed areas, providing directions to seats, concessions, restrooms, and other arena areas.
  • Respond to and/or escalate guest complaints, concerns, and compliments.
  • Assist guests with reasonable requests for accommodations, including but not limited to wheelchair escort services.
  • Assist with crowd management and seating discrepancies while maintaining clear portals, aisles, and access paths for guests, staff, and emergency services.
  • Reports any suspicious activity to supervisors and/or management.
  • Monitor assigned areas for guest or building issues.
  • Have knowledge of arena layout, emergency exit, policies, and regulations while understanding, retaining, and communicating safety and security measures
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Frequent bending; lifting; exposure to multiple external elements; extensive walking through the building, including walking steps; exposure to loud noises; and standing for long periods of time.
  • Adhere to all OVG Policies.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a customer service-based industry is preferred
  • Previous experience within a sports, entertainment, or related field is preferred
  • 70% event availability commitment. Event requirements are subject to change with notice
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights, and holidays as required.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Extensive time spent with moderate to loud noises and exposure to flashing lights
  • Fluctuating temperatures to include hot and cold conditions-external and internal facility exposure
  • Frequent bending, standing for long periods of time and walking of the building, including climbing stairs
  • Arrive at work in an appropriately furnished uniform, refrain from cellphone use in public spaces while on post, and remain on post until dismissed or relieved.
