Job description

USHERTAINER

Good day! Right this way...to a new and exciting position where you will literally put butts in seats and ensure that our guests are nice and comfy while watching the best shows Las Vegas has to offer. Ushers are assigned to greet and assist guests while maintaining order and safety during events.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Assist guest with seating location
  • Collect and review tickets from guests as directed
  • Answer guest inquiries regarding exits and amenities such as restrooms and concessions
  • Keep aisles clear of obstacles
  • Oversee assigned area for situations requiring staff attention (spills, disruptive guests, etc.)
  • Assist with cleaning the theaters and restrooms between and after shows
  • Diffuse potentially physical and/or dangerous situations using non-physical methods
  • Assist with the enforcement of the camera/taping policies for each event
  • Alert management of any guest's special needs or emergency situations
  • Maintain a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention
  • Assist with stocking the bars and retrieving items as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION WE NEED YOU TO HAVE:

  • Must have prior customer service experience
  • Showroom usher experience preferred
  • Must be able to understand, read, write, and speak English clearly
  • Experience recognizing and responding to visual and audio cues

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work environment: Indoor, live performance theater
  • Ability to withstand prolonged walking, standing, bending, pushing, climbing, and/or kneeling without restrictions
  • Must be able to continuously maneuver up and down stairs
  • Must be able to tolerate a higher noise level working environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
