Position Description

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for maintaining the existing customer base while developing a new customer base through prospecting and lead generating.

Qualifications

Education/Certifications:

Associate degree in Optics, Business, or another technical field. Bachelor's degree a plus. Previous experience with sales for Optics or technology preferred.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  1. Excellent organization and time management skills.
  2. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  3. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Essential Functions

  1. Actively selling and quoting opportunities to meet customer needs.
  2. Build and maintain strong customer relationships, loyalty, and retention.
  3. Grow sales portfolio with emerging customers while maintaining legacy customers.
  4. Comfort level researching and cold calling target prospects.
  5. Interpret optical component drawings and prints.
  6. Interface with manufacturing and process engineers on processes.
  7. Represent Sydor Optics at trade shows.
  8. Experience with CRM systems (Hubspot preferred) and Sales Forecasting.
  9. Work with production planning and manufacturing to ensure deadlines are met.
  10. Support our SIOP (Sales, Inventory, Operations and Planning) process.
  11. Work effectively with others in a team environment.
  12. Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
