The Role
Our team members are the first to develop and integrate new processes producing high pressure die cast supporting General Motors diverse vehicle lineup. You will get experience producing engine blocks, drive units, transmission cases, and vehicle structural components. As part of our team, you will work with equipment and tooling vendors from all over the world to develop and source the most advanced production systems.

What You'll Do
As a process engineer working in our Die Casting Manufacturing Engineering team in Bedford, Indiana; you will work with others outside our team to develop world class high pressure die castings. You will use your die casting knowledge to perform Magmasoft and Flow 3D simulations supporting a broad range of high pressure die casting products, providing key simulation feedback to teams of product engineers, tooling designers, process engineers, and tooling builders. You will collaborate with a team of simulation engineers to develop and maintain simulation standards that will be used to design and build future die casting dies. Through process simulation, you will work with plant quality and engineering personnel to support quality and throughput initiatives for both future product programs and existing product families.
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualification)
Prospective employees for this role should have:
  • Batchelor's degree or higher in Engineering
  • Experience in high pressure die casting in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3-5 years of experience in high pressure die casting fill and solidification modeling
  • Basic proficiency in 3D modeling software

What Can Give You a Competitive Advantage (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Proficiency with Magmasoft and Flow 3D software
  • Proficiency with Siemens NX modeling software
  • Experience with Abaqus FEA Software Suite
