Essential Job Statements
Leads the development and documentation of the ERM Program, includingenterpriserisk framework andenterpriseriskappetite/framework/tolerance in collaboration with Senior Leadership.
Fosters and builds a risk-intelligent culture.
Manages the enterprise-wide risk assessmentprocess,includingmaintainingtheorganization'srisk inventory through collaboration withleaders of each domain to develop risk mitigationstrategies.
Promotes effective and ongoing communication and sharing of informationto escalate risk concerns.
Develops and evaluates theHealth System's approach to risk identification, management,monitoring,and communication.
Facilitates the identificationof risk, developsreports,and monitors ERM issues.
Engageleaders and colleagues in the practice of identifying, managing,monitoringand communicating risk across various departments and functions within the HealthSystem,including clinical,financial,operationaland strategicrisk.
Monitors the effectiveness ofenterpriserisk management strategies, tracking key risk indicators, andreporting onrisk-related issues to senior management and the board.
Develops ERM tools,practicesand policies toreport and analyze enterprise riskmanagement and tofacilitatethe management of riskaccording to the Health System's ERM framework.
Develops ERM policies and strategiesbased on bestpractices,including consideration ofcurrent developments that couldimpactthe organization's profile,the regulatory environment, rating agencystandards,and strategicinitiatives of the Health System.
Develop and manage ERMtraining and educationforstaffbasedon ERM principles and practices, promoting a consistent approach to risk management throughout theHealth System.
Usesanalytics andmonitorsinternal/externalenvironmentfor relevant informationtofacilitaterisk identification andimplementation ofmitigationplans.
Understandingofbest practices in ERMand operational risk. Remainsawareof current developments that couldimpacttheorganization's profile andmaintainscommunication with Senior Leadership to ensureappropriatemitigationplans are implemented.
Develops and implementsenterpriserisk management practices, including policy development,methodologyfor measuring model risk and criticality, process improvement, data standards, and documentation requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned and/orparticipatesin special projects to support the mission of VCUHS.Acceptsalternate assignments, asrequiredto fulfill business needs.

Baccalaureate Degree inHealthcare Administration, Health Law, Public Health, or Business Administration from an accredited program

Experience inCorporate/Risk Governance, Risk Management, Regulatory Management, Legal, or related areas.
Experience with ERM principles and methodologies.
Previouswork experience in developing and implementingenterpriserisk managementframeworkand strategies.
Previouswork experience with statistics, data collection,analysis,and data presentation.

Excellent Analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and trends and present findings to executive team.
Proficient in risk management tools and software.
