Enterprise Architect Manager needed for a FT perm role onsite in Columbus. Must have strong software design, domain driven design and microservices expertise. Strong communication and relationship building skills.

Enterprise Architecture Manager (Applications & Solutions)

This position serves as both a people leader and a practicing architect. The Enterprise Architecture Manager (Applications & Solutions) leads a team of IT Architects while remaining directly involved in the company''s most strategic application, software, integration, and technology decisions.

This is a highly visible leadership role with the opportunity to shape the future technology landscape. You will partner with business and technology leaders to guide software and platform investments, lead solution architecture efforts, evaluate business capabilities, and establish the architectural direction that supports the company''s long-term growth.

Responsibilities Lead, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing team of IT Architects.

  • Set clear goals and objectives for the Architecture team aligned to technology roadmaps, organizational priorities, and corporate objectives.
  • Own and advance the Enterprise Architecture practice, including architecture standards, governance processes, reference architectures, technology roadmaps, and architectural guardrails.
  • Maintain and evolve the North Star Architecture to support long-term business and technology strategy.
  • Lead the Architecture Review Board and facilitate enterprise technology decision-making.
  • Serve as the senior architectural advisor for the organization''s most complex and strategic software, application, integration, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business and technology leaders to define future-state capabilities, technology strategies, and multi-year roadmaps.
  • Lead build-versus-buy evaluations, software vendor assessments, platform selections, and technology investment recommendations.
  • Review and influence solution architectures, application designs, integration strategies, API standards, and modernization initiatives.
  • Provide architectural leadership for enterprise business platforms, including ERP, CRM, custom-developed applications, integrations, analytics platforms, and emerging technologies.
  • Participate directly in architecture workshops, solution design sessions, and implementation planning activities for high-priority initiatives.
  • Drive architecture maturity, standardization, simplification, and reuse across enterprise applications, platforms, and integrations.
  • Lead evaluation of emerging technologies, industry trends, and modernization opportunities that create business value.
  • Own enterprise application and technology portfolio planning, including Invest, Maintain, Transform, and Retire recommendations.
  • Support technology planning, forecasting, prioritization, and strategic investment discussions.
  • Ensure architectural decisions support scalability, security, maintainability, supportability, and long-term organizational growth.

Qualifications10+ years of progressive information technology experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Application Architecture, Software Engineering leadership, or related technology leadership roles.
  • Experience designing, implementing, or modernizing enterprise software solutions, business applications, integrations, and digital platforms.
  • Experience leading technical professionals, architects, engineers, or technology teams.
  • Demonstrated experience developing technology strategies, roadmaps, architecture standards, and governance processes.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, consulting, and leadership skills.
  • Experience influencing strategic decisions across business and technology organizations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications Experience leading an Enterprise Architecture practice or architecture team.

  • Experience leading software architecture, solution architecture, enterprise application, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies, Azure, Dynamics 365, cloud platforms, ERP solutions, integrations, analytics, and data platforms.
  • Experience leading build-versus-buy evaluations, software vendor selection efforts, and technology modernization initiatives.
  • Experience supporting enterprise application modernization, platform transformation, and technology portfolio management initiatives.
  • TOGAF, Microsoft, Azure, AWS, or related architecture certifications.
  • Experience leading architects, technical leads, software engineers, or technology strategy initiatives is strongly preferred.

Additional Information This is a fully on-site position reporting to the office Monday through Friday.
