Job description

Overview
DecisionPoint seeks an Enterprise Architect to oversee enterprise-wide architecture alignment across business capabilities, applications, data, security, and cloud infrastructure in support of a large federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. This senior role maintains the enterprise architecture baseline, governs technical standards, evaluates modernization paths, and ensures that systems, integrations, and technology investments align with organizational strategy.
The Enterprise Architect works closely with cloud architects, cybersecurity leadership, product management, and development teams to create an integrated architecture roadmap, drive technical consistency, and support the long-term modernization of mission-critical systems.
This position is fully remote.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Enterprise Architect will:
  • Maintain the enterprise architecture baseline, including business capabilities, applications, data flows, and infrastructure components.
  • Develop and manage the enterprise architecture roadmap, ensuring alignment with mission and modernization priorities.
  • Conduct architectural assessments to identify redundancies, modernization needs, and technology improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee architecture governance, ensuring consistency with enterprise standards and DoD-aligned security practices.
  • Collaborate with product teams, cloud architects, and cybersecurity personnel to validate alignment with enterprise direction.
  • Define and maintain reference architectures, integration patterns, and design standards.
  • Review system designs, ensuring compliance with Zero Trust, IL5 cloud, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Support enterprise portfolio management, including system inventories, lifecycle status, and capability mapping.
  • Evaluate new technologies, tools, and cloud services for strategic fit and long-term sustainability.
  • Facilitate architecture working groups, decision boards, and cross-team technical reviews.
  • Produce architecture diagrams, capability models, workflow documentation, and strategic planning artifacts.
  • Support major modernization initiatives and large-scale system redesign efforts.

Qualifications
Clearance Requirement
Must hold an active Top Secret clearance, supported by a Tier 5 background investigation.
Education (Required)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience (Required)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as an Enterprise Architect, Systems Architect, or senior technical strategist.
  • Experience maintaining enterprise architecture baselines and leading modernization initiatives.
  • Experience working across business, application, data, and infrastructure architecture domains.
  • Experience supporting federal or DoD mission environments.

Technical Knowledge (Required)
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and capability modeling.
  • Experience with cloud architectures, preferably AWS GovCloud.
  • Knowledge of DoD security requirements, Zero Trust principles, and RMF-aligned architecture.
  • Familiarity with integration patterns, API ecosystems, and system interoperability.

Certifications
Required:
  • ITIL v4 Foundation
  • CompTIA Security+
  • AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)
