Generations Family Health Center, Inc. is a regional community health center covering a thirty seven town rural region in eastern Connecticut with sites located in Willimantic, Danielson, Norwich and Putnam. Our dedicated staff provides a full range of primary care services to all ages including medical, dental and behavioral health care, as well as care coordination and community outreach. In addition to our main facilities, we offer mobile programs and School Based Health Centers.
Location: Putnam, CT (Medical Department)
Duties & Responsibilities: Assist with coordination of patient flow, and preparation of patients for examination and procedures. Responsible for cleaning and sterilizing medical equipment and keeping inventory of medical supplies. Must keep in compliance with all agency protocols including documenting of waived testing and controls as well as medications. Medical Assistant is responsible for some administrative functions, such as filing of lab reports. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited clinical medical assistant program, certified nursing assistant program, or emergency medical technician program
  • For MA graduate, certification (CMA/AAMA) preferred and primary care experience preferred
  • For CNA, must maintain current Connecticut CNA certification, and at least one (1) year of clinical work experience required
  • For EMT, must maintain current Connecticut EMT certification, and at least six (6) months of clinical work experience required
  • Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred at applicable sites based on patient population

Compensation & Benefits
  • Pay Rate: $19.79/hour
