By joining our Project Delivery and Preservation Branch I as a Transportation Engineering Assistant I inJefferson County, you'll have the opportunity to perform beginning level technical tasks in support oftransportation engineering programs such as inspections, basic surveying and material testing.
Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Basic surveying activities for roadway locations
  • Perform basic calculations for material quantities and cost estimates
  • Record field data and make calculations
  • Basic quality assurance and material sampling
  • Assist in reducing and checking field notes
  • Assist in inspection and record keeping relating to utility relocation and construction
