General Purpose
  • The purpose of this position is to provide engineering support and documentation for manufacturing operations

Essential Functions
  • Applies basic problem-solving skills to improve safety, quality, and efficiencies of equipment.
  • Can quickly diagnose machine issues and see that the proper countermeasures are being implemented.
  • Must be able to make decisions based on sound engineering principles.
  • Follows engineering and quality processes.
  • Must be able to work cross functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Safety, Quality, Controls, OEM's, Purchasing, CAM, and Industrial Engineering.
  • With supervision, initiates equipment reliability and process improvement projects based on data, personal observations, and operations input.
  • Participates in continuous improvement projects.
  • Basic knowledge of part print reading and interpretation.
  • Must be detail orientated to ensure accuracy of information delivered.
  • Participates in continuous learning, e.g. educational and training opportunities. Retains an open attitude toward new engineering ideas / methods / technologies.
  • Be able to function in PC based computer systems (excel, word, outlook).
  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

  • Able to work to deadlines and completions.
  • Able to manage own workload and be self motivated.
  • Team player skills
  • Mechanical aptitude to deal with developing solutions to customer requests.
