Job description

The Electrical Engineer - Power Systems performs electrical power systems studies and analysis for industrialย and utility clients. ย Utilizing industry standard analysis software (ETAP, SKM, etc.), the successfulย candidate will demonstrate the ability to create study cases, analyze results, and provide detailedย written reports. ย A strong fundamental understanding of industrial and utility power systems andย calculation methods is required. ย 
ย 
The Electrical Engineer - Power Systems is responsible for working with clients and other Nexus personnelย to prepare studies including:ย 
ย 
The Electrical Engineer - Power Systems reports to the Senior Electrical Engineer or Engineering Disciplineย Manager. ย Completed technical work is provided to senior management prior to presentation toย the client.ย 
ย 
This position will require occasional travel (2-3 times per year) of up to one week to visit clientย facilities to gather data along with other Nexus personnel.ย

Qualifications
  • BS in Electrical Engineering is required.ย 
  • Working knowledge of ETAP is required. ย ย 
  • Familiarity with other systems analysis tools such as SKM is desired.ย 
  • 5+ Years of experience in power systems studiesย 
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office Productsย 
Education/Certification Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required
$100,000 - $170,000 a year

The salary range listed above represents the anticipated base pay for this position in accordance with applicable pay transparency requirements. Compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, work location, and market conditions.

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonus opportunities and participation in the Company's Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), providing an opportunity to share in the long-term success of Nexus Engineering Group.
