EXP is currently searching for a Civil Project Engineer / Project Manager in our Brampton office. Our team works in a fast-paced environment and growth oriented, ideally suited for individuals who are proactive and eager to contribute their knowledge in civil engineering and project management. You are growing in your ability as client contact and enjoy building relationships; You bring civil design knowledge and are driven to build on your success.
 

EXP provides flexibility for employees to work in any of our offices in GTA with the option to work remotely on the other days.
 

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Working under the direction of our Director, Land Development, coordinate and manage projects across southern Ontario; with proven success in design and coordination on projects you are moving your career forward as a project manager.
  • You have a history of successfully delivering on medium to large-scale land and site development, infrastructure projects, from planning through construction and close out.
  • You have the drive to manage Project scope, budget, and schedule control for development projects.
  • Recognize value of working in a dedicated team environment with a proven track record for quality product, and on time delivery.
  • At EXP you will build strong working relationships with other in-house EXP disciplines including environment, geotechnical, hydrogeological, transportation planning and design, landscape as part of One - EXP's full-service delivery program.
  • Work on project teams, including design engineers, design/drafters, surveyors, field supervisors and inspectors, and other members of the project.
  • Develop Client Relationships; private, architectural, planning, municipal provincial and federal agencies.
  • Oversee all necessary approvals and permits for projects, including those from municipalities, provincial (Ontario) and federal government agencies.
  • Coordinate meetings with multiple stakeholders (e.g., clients, contractors, approving agencies, planners, other consultants, residents, etc.) as necessary to meet project objectives.

What your experience looks like

  • Relevant degree or diploma in engineering, P. Eng or C.E.T. licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario.
  • 5-7 plus years relevant work experience.
  • An overall understanding of land and site development requirements and municipal/agency approvals, including detailed design of: Stormwater Management Design.
  • Report writing (SWM and FSR).
  • Site Servicing Design for Sanitary and Water services.
  • Earthworks.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD required, including Civil 3D is an asset.
  • Experience in the preparation of construction specifications including private supplemental specifications, technical specifications, as well as Master Format specifications would be an asset.

The salary range for this role is between $95K - $135K. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
