Location : Wixom, MI

Salary : $120,000 — $170,000

Bonus : Up to 10%

We are seeking an experienced Robotics Engineering Project Manager to lead cross-functional robotics product development projects from concept through production. The successful candidate will coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and customer, to deliver complex robotic systems on schedule, within budget, and to the required performance and quality standards.

This role requires strong technical understanding, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and multiple tasks while balancing engineering priorities, technical risks, and business objectives.

Responsibilities IncludeProject Planning & Execution
  • Lead multiple robotics engineering projects throughout the entire product lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, resource plans, and budgets.
  • Coordinate project activities across engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, regulatory, and operations.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Facilitate communication between multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Organize and lead project meetings, design reviews, risk assessments, and status updates.
  • Resolve project conflicts and remove obstacles impacting schedule or technical progress.
  • Negotiate with customers and internal teams to reach the project goal and schedule.
Stakeholder Communication
  • Prepare executive-level project status reports and dashboards.
  • Communicate project health, milestones, risks, and resource requirements.
  • Present project updates to leadership and customers when required.
Obsolescence management
  • Lead the component obsolescence projects.
  • Discuss with customers for testing requirements and coordinate with internal teams.
  • Manage project schedules and follow up with customers with approval status.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of technical project management experience.
  • 3+ years managing robotics, automation, electromechanical, or complex hardware development projects.
  • Strong understanding of engineering product development processes, including hardware and software development.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) and engineering change processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working experience in semi-conductor industry.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
  • Experience with robotics products or industrial automation systems.
  • Knowledge of risk management tools including FMEA.
  • Experience with ERP and PLM systems (SAP, Windchill, Teamcenter, Agile PLM, etc.).
