Job description

Leidos is currently seeking an experienced individual for a role supporting a dynamic customer acquisition program office. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical planning; system hardware, software, and network design; development and integration; verification and validation; and fielding. The candidate will also continuously evaluate technical alternatives, including risk, supportability, and system-level analyses.

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical advice and input to the customer's Chief Engineer to help establish the strategic foundation for critical national capabilities and future initiatives
  • Continually assess the customer's business practices and recommend new solutions, processes, standards, or operational plans to improve mission effectiveness
  • Serve as the Chief Engineer's technical lead on large, complex projects
  • Resolve highly complex, multi-dimensional problems requiring consideration of variables that impact multiple aspects of programs or projects
  • Lead development of highly innovative products and solutions through collaboration with subject matter experts
  • Execute systems engineering activities, including requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, interface definition, technical management, integration, system testing, and quality assurance
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with DoD, military, civilian personnel, and industry partners
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to anticipate and prepare responses and briefing materials for senior USG leadership on program-specific matters
Experience
  • BA/BS degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, or MA/MS degree with 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Working knowledge and demonstrated experience with Special Access Programs (SAP) and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) activities
Security Clearance
  • Must possess a current/active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance in order to be considered
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Program information
