Our Facilities Engineering team is expanding and seeking an Industrial / Manufacturing focused Project Manager to join our group in Waterloo, Ontario, with flexibility to work from our Toronto or Mississauga offices.

Working with an energetic and highperforming team, this position offers a diverse portfolio of work and will see you involved in: 

  • Lead the endtoend delivery of multidisciplinary building and facilities projects, from early planning and concept design through detailed design, tendering, and construction support 

  • Coordinate architectural and engineering disciplines, ensuring design integration, technical quality, and constructability across all project phases 

  • Serving as the primary client interface, acting as both a project manager and senior technical advisor 

  • Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring effective integration across mechanical, electrical, process, structural, architectural, and specialty disciplines 

  • Establishing and maintaining technical governance, including technical reviews, coordination milestones, and decisionmaking frameworks to manage risk and maintain quality 

  • Providing technical direction and oversight to ensure designs, analyses, and deliverables are fitforpurpose, constructible, and aligned with client objectives and applicable standards 

  • Leading proposal development and pursuit activities, shaping technical approaches, defining scope, developing execution strategies, schedules, and defensible fee estimates 

  • Applying strong project management fundamentals to plan, monitor, and control project performance, proactively addressing technical, commercial, and delivery risks 

  • Leading project kickoffs, technical workshops, and coordination meetings, ensuring alignment across project teams and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle 

  • Identifying technical risks and opportunities early, working collaboratively with discipline leads to implement mitigation strategies and drive continuous improvement 

  • Actively identifying followon opportunities and valueadd services, leveraging technical insight and strong client relationships to support repeat business 

  • Demonstrating a selfstarter mindset, taking ownership of both technical and delivery challenges and driving projects forward with minimal supervision 

What you will bring to the team: 

  • 8-15 years of experience delivering industrial or manufacturing projects within an engineering or professional services environment 

  • Postsecondary education in Mechanical, Process, Chemical Engineering, Management, or a related technical discipline 

  • Demonstrated leadership on complex, multidisciplinary projects beyond tasklevel delivery 

  • Strong understanding of design processes, technical integration, risk management, and quality systems 

  • Experience in food & beverage, goods manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, or regulated industrial environments is preferred 

  • Proven ability to balance technical, commercial, schedule, and risk considerations 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to lead technical discussions and manage complex client interactions 

  • A selfstarter mindset, high ethical standards, and a commitment to highquality, defensible work 

  • Willingness to work in both office and site environments, with travel as required

  • The salary range for this position is $98,160 to $144,160.  The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for GHD locations in its major city centres. Ranges may vary for positions in other locations.
