  General Kinematics Corporation is currently looking for a proactive and qualified Project Manager to join our team. The ideal Project Manager will assist in the successful planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of various projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, sales, and logistics, to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and according to budget. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks will contribute to the efficient operation of our projects.


Responsibilities / Duties

  • Assist and define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior project managers and stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and task dependencies.
  • Conduct initial risk assessment and mitigation planning.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project tasks are executed according to the project plan.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain regular communication with team members to provide updates and gather status reports.
  • Collaborate with department managers to allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Ensure that resources are utilized efficiently to meet project goals.
  • Assist in preparing project budgets and forecasts in conjunction with finance and accounting teams.
  • Monitor project expenditures and track against budget allocations.
  • Prepare and distribute project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and milestones achieved.
  • Facilitate two-way effective communication between different teams and departments involved in the project.
  • Assist in developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, schedules, meeting minutes, and other relevant records.
  • Participate in post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
  • When applicable, attend the "Project with Issues" meeting and work with internal stake holders, to determine root cause designation and lessons learned for the company. 
  • Maintain weekly communication with production, engineering, and sales departments, with updates to ensure proper adherence to established timelines and objectives.
  • Assist in developing best practices goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. 
  • Track budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis. 
  • The ability to troubleshoot, resolve problems and make independent decisions, after identifying and analyzing problems logically and comprehensively.
  • Document and report any safety concerns as it relates to the installation and the operation of our equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Manufacturing and Engineering departments.
  • Comply with the company's ISO objectives, policies, & procedures. 
  • The willingness and physical ability to work on our equipment which can include climbing ladders, crawling under objects, and working in harsh conditions/jobsites.
  • To understand basic business concepts and the ability to respond to customer requests.
  • The willingness to work from existing policies and procedures and the ability to build technical knowledge.

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering industrial technology, engineering, or provide equivalent experience.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of project management experience in an OEM, Industrial, or Construction setting.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain operations.
  • Blueprint reading required (AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 15-20%.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
  • Background check is a requirement of the hiring process.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Proficient working with an ERP and with Project Management software (MS Project, Procore, etc.)

   Good to Have:

  • Bi-lingual abilities a plus.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification a plus.
  • Project management certifications a plus (PMP, CSM, CAPM, etc.)

Pay: $85,000 to $100,000 paid annually. The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include, and are not limited to a candidate's experience, qualifications, geography, and internal equity.
