Power Connector's Engineering Manager is critical in contributing to the fundamental changes that are transforming Power Connector. This position is instrumental in enhancing and strengthening our engineering operations to enable the growth and development of the business by driving improvements in all operational functions, including production control and planning, material handling, manufacturing, and shipping and receiving. This position's primary focus is to contribute and execute on the team's strategic plans for operational optimization, expansion, and sustainability.

Power Connector's Engineering Project Manager is a dynamic, adaptable, open-minded problem solver with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills. This position plays a key role in sustaining and increasing our current operational capacity and output through strategic planning and efforts in increasing efficiency and productivity in all operational disciplines.

This position enjoys the inherent challenges of sustaining and growing a business by increasing throughput, meeting shipment goals, balancing WIP and inventory, and optimizing financial metrics in a diverse and dynamic organization. This position has a strong influence on the fundamental principles guiding operational functionality and works closely with the Business Unit Director and Trexon corporate team to realize the company's true operational potential.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related field

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, or technical project management
  • Experience in managing and owning project timelines, alleviating project milestone obstacles, budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments

Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and project lifecycle management
  • Understanding of quality systems, risk management, and compliance standards
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies

Skills:

  • Excellent leadership and team coordination abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong decision-making and conflict resolution skills

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management for engineering initiatives, including scope, schedule. Budget, and resource planning
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and status reports
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals and deliverables
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve issues
  • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost control
  • Communicate project status, updates, and risks to leadership
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and safety guidelines
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices in project execution
  • Support product development, process improvement as applicable
  • Facilitate meetings and design reviews
  • Align project deliverables with strategic business goals and engineering roadmaps
  • Ensure proper documentation of all project phases, including technical specifications and lessons learned
  • Ensure effective handoff from project completion to operations
  • Lead or support audits, ensuring project documentation and processes meet internal and external requirements
  • Visiting customers and suppliers as needed

Compensation
