Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Engineering & Maintenance Manager to oversee all engineering and maintenance activities within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance of plant equipment and machinery while implementing best practices for maintenance planning and asset management. This role is critical in driving efficiency, reliability, and quality within our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the engineering and maintenance team to ensure operational efficiency and safety standards are met.
  • Develop and implement maintenance planning strategies to minimize downtime and improve reliability of equipment.
  • Oversee asset management processes to extend the life cycle of machinery and equipment.
  • Use lean manufacturing principles to improve production processes and eliminate waste.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and develop solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage budgets related to maintenance and engineering activities, ensuring cost efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, including OSHA requirements.
  • Implement quality assurance programs to maintain high standards in manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate vendor management for external maintenance services and equipment procurement.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives throughout the facility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in engineering and maintenance management, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance planning and asset management techniques.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Kaizen techniques.
  • Experience in reliability engineering and technical problem solving.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Budgeting skills and experience in financial management of engineering projects.
