Specific Duties: Respond to maintenance and repair calls to Guest Rooms (as
notified by Housekeeping and Member Service Desk) including but not limited to:
    • Replacing light bulbs
    • Repairing peeling wall covering
    • Touch-up paint and/or damage to wall coverings
    • Unblock sinks or toilets or shower drains, repair sink stoppers
    • Re-tune / troubleshoot TV's
    • Check phone problems
    • Check thermostats and HVAC unit malfunctions
    • Repair / replace shower heads and/or shower mixers
    • Repair chips or burns to woodwork or furnishings
    • Replace batteries in guest room door looks, troubleshoot faulty door locks
    • Repair window treatments
    • Other miscellaneous items

Maintain other front-of-house areas (i.e., Member Service Desk, Lobby, Club Room, guest floor corridors, Health Club, etc.) as well as back-of-house areas (i.e., Housekeeping, Staff Changing Rooms, Offices, etc.). Duties would include
repairing and maintaining normal wear-and-tear in all areas (touch-up painting,
replacing light bulbs, unclogging sinks and toilets, etc.).
Conduct an Equipment Status Check-List once per shift, observing that all equipment is functioning correctly at the right temperature and that there are no leaks, strange noises, etc.
Make adjustments as necessary and report any concerns to the Maintenance Manager.
Conduct Preventive Maintenance program as directed by the Maintenance Manager, i.e., replace guest room HVAC filters every quarter, check shower mixing valves, etc.
Must have intimate knowledge of the Fire Prevention equipment and procedures in case of an emergency - respond to all emergencies and offer assistance where appropriate.
Perform daily chemical testing on the boilers and cooling towers to insure proper
chemical levels in the systems and make the appropriate adjustments.
Ensure that all calls are completed in a timely manner and that the right
departments are notified that the work is complete thus closing the loop.
Make sure that maintenance cards are left in occupied rooms letting the guest know that their issue has been resolved.
Work on maintenance and other projects as directed by the Maintenance Manager
