Job description

Engineering Intern- Summer

Aguirre amp; Fields is seeking a civil engineering student intern for our structures division in our Oklahoma City, OK office. The selected applicant will gain practical experience from various ODOT or county projects that affect the community. This position provides an opportunity to perform bridge and roadway design and detailing tasks under the supervision of a professional engineer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Learn processes and procedures and assist in analysis and design.
  • Provide engineering support assistance as required.
  • Prepare plans utilizing MicroStation, OpenRoads
  • Calculate projectsโ€™ quantities and cost estimates.
  • Conduct project site visits.
  • Complies with all Company policies, procedures, practices, and rules.
  • Assumes other duties as directed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
  • Enrolled and actively in the process of obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
  • Completion of two years of a degree program with acceptable academic standing at a recognized educational institution.
  • Experience with MicroStation or other drafting software equivalent.
  • Experience with Excel Spreadsheet amp; Word.
