Description:

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspects the maintenance, modification and upgrades on aircraft listed on the Repair Station Capability List
  • Performs receiving inspections of all parts and materials.
  • Performs internal audits of the companyโ€™s processes and procedures.
  • Provides technical guidance to maintenance personnel performing aircraft maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chief Inspector.
  • Ensure all determinations supporting the creation of Certificate of Conformance are objective evidence-based, fully traceable, and auditable in accordance with regulatory and contract requirements.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

ยท Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

ยท 5 years of previous helicopter mechanic experience preferred

ยท Knowledge of UH-60, UH-1, Bell 206/407, TH 47 aircraft preferred

ยท Writing and oral communication skills sufficient to prepare reports and to discuss equipment malfunction.

ยท Ability to read, interpret, and comprehend schematic diagrams, drawings, charts, and technical publications are required.

ยท Must be able to move about both inside aircraft hangars and outside on aircraft ramps within proximity of running equipment and aircraft.

ยท Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a professional and non-confrontational attitude.

ยท Proficient in using the various types of inspection equipment and visual inspection aids appropriate for the article being inspected.

ยท Thoroughly familiar with the applicable regulations.

ยท Thoroughly familiar with the inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine the airworthiness of the article on which maintenance, preventive maintenance or alterations are being performed

ยท Proficient in using the various types of inspection equipment and visual inspection aids appropriate for the article being inspected

ยท Ability to be a team player and take directions in a FAA Part 145 environment

ยท Ability to work overtime if required


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

ยท High School diploma or equivalent

ยท A&P Certificate preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

ยท Attention to detail, and ability to stand and work on top of aircraft, from ladders, and in confined areas for extended periods, both in and out of doors

ยท Ability to lift 25 lbs. frequently, and to team lift 50 lbs.
