Job description

Opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Inspector to improve equipment reliability through preventive and predictive maintenance, equipment inspections, and continuous improvement at a large cement manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Maintenance Engineer in developing preventive, predictive, and autonomous maintenance programs.
  • Inspect plant equipment and prepare work requests with recommended repairs.
  • Monitor inspection, lubrication, cleaning, and component replacement programs to maximize equipment reliability.
  • Provide technical support for major maintenance activities and specialized repair work.
  • Verify maintenance and operational tasks are completed to established standards.
  • Promote continuous improvement in maintenance procedures and equipment reliability.
  • Collect and analyze equipment performance data to improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and equipment reliability improvements.
  • Support equipment modifications to improve performance and equipment life.
  • Assist in planning major plant shutdowns, including manpower, materials, scheduling, and specialized equipment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five to seven years of experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Maintenance training is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge of belt conveyors, ball mills, and kilns is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
